Established skiers took to the slopes at Scotland’s main wintertime sporting activities resort at the weekend – irrespective of it staying closed.

Cairngorm Mountain formally finished functions on Xmas Eve thanks to the new coronavirus restrictions.

Far more than 1000 sledgers took to the Hay Area public space at Glenmore – about two miles from the winter athletics vacation resort.

Walkers and skiers also flocked to the Whitelee wind farm in Renfrewshire and Loch Glascarnoch in the Highlands.
