Governor Abbott updates on COVID-19 vaccination efforts

Following a tour of the mass vaccination hub at the Esports Stadium Arlington & Expo Center today Texas Governor Greg Abbott provided an update on the vaccination process in the state.

Governor Abbott says 1.8 million doses have been distributed in Texas, with over 700,000 still ready to be given.

Abbott says Texas will receive 310,000 first doses each week this month. They expect it to increase in the future.

In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine, Abbott says antibody drug administration centers will soon be opening across the state to help those unable to get the vaccine and for those have have been diagnosed with COVID-19 to help with symptoms and to keep people from having to go to local hospitals for treatment.
