On Friday, the well known vacation resort east of Kelowna introduced that it was cancelling all bookings from non-local customers.
Massive White explained its restriction decision was in reaction to Thursday’s announcement by B.C. officers to extend wellbeing limitations amid the coronavirus pandemic right until midnight on Feb. 5, 2021.

“I have instructed our reservation teams to start out the onerous endeavor of contacting excited attendees and ski teams from all in excess of the region and terminate their bookings to Major White Ski Vacation resort,” claimed Tracy Layng, vice president of Large White Central Reservations Ltd.
“This will consider a couple of days, as there are virtually hundreds of reservations due to the pent-up desire of not getting able to pay a visit to us previously this season.”
In building the health and fitness announcement on Thursday, provincial overall health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry explained, “now is our time to remain the program.”
Between the province’s guidelines is a non-essential journey advisory.

“We get Dr. Henry’s orders pretty seriously, and we talk to and anticipate some others in our vacation resort group to do the similar,” claimed Michael J. Ballingall, senior vice-president at Major White.
“In December, we cancelled Christmas and New Year’s holiday seasons, which however let down many, a lot of company and their people. We’re not going to give up now.”
Ballingall ongoing, stating, “(Henry) is recommending to prevent all non-important travel, and to vacation within your area location only, and so we are cancelling and encouraging website visitors from all all-around Canada to abide by these policies.
“Following the policies is not about the base line it is about bending the curve and being open for our season passholders and nearby skiers and snowboarders.”
