School closure procedure: development at Armuchee, tours and meetings for Cave Spring | Schooling

Now that the Floyd County College Board has voted to close Cave Spring Elementary and Glenwood Key, Superintendent Glenn White is planning for the transition and finding students, families and school ready to shift over the summertime of 2022.

“There’s lots of factors why we desired to go ahead and vote on this … I want to give folks a very little little bit of time,” he mentioned. “In the subsequent couple of weeks, I want to timetable local school governance staff conferences among Alto Park and Cave Spring. However, not all of the Cave Spring learners will be going to Alto Park Elementary. Those who dwell along U.S. 27 South will be going to Pepperell Principal and Pepperell Elementary.

The principals of Alto Park and Cave Spring will also meet to focus on the wants of the two universities.

White reported they’ll be getting any Cave Spring dad and mom and academics who want to see Alto Park on scheduled tours involving now and the slide of 2022.
