Interactive Virtual Shopping Tour At Neat, Neat, Neat
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Neat, Neat, Neat business owner, Reneata Griffin, offers an interactive virtual shopping option for local customers who want to shop from their phones.
Griffin thought of the idea to give virtual tours at her St. Petersburg gift shop pre-holidays when a Colorado woman wanted to know more about her store. She said in a Patch interview that she used Face Time to show her merchandise such as curated gits, retro toys and skincare products to that customer.
“I just enjoyed it so much,” Griffin said. “I like being interactive and able to answer their questions right at the moment. It’s fun for the customer and for me.”
Griffin then thought St. Petersburg residents who don’t want to get out because of the coronavirus pandemic or because of limited mobility would also enjoy the interactive virtual tours. Local customers started taking advantage of the virtual interactions by scheduling tours with Griffin through a text or phone.
“I think it’s better than regular website shopping because you get more of an idea size wise,” she said. “You can also look at the items from a different angle when you’re live with me on Face Time.”
If the product ordered is requested to be sent to a St. Pete address, Griffin will drop off the purchases for free. Or a person can shop virtually and quickly pick it up from the shop’s Uptown District location.
“It’s easy for me to drop off,” Griffin said. “And I can do touchless and set it on the porch, by the door or just hand it to them, whatever they’re comfortable with.”
Outside St. Pete and Colorado, customers from Atlanta have taken advantage of the interactive shopping offered at Neat, Neat, Neat.
Griffin supports local artists by allowing them to sell their work inside her store, and she is grateful that their work can become known to others unfamiliar with St. Pete artists through the virtual tours. A couple of the local artists who have work in her store are Chad Mize and Hardison L. Collins III.
Neat, Neat, Neat, 689 Dr. MLK Jr. Street N, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
