FTSE 250 movers: Hochschild rallies on silver gains TUI travels reduce
London’s FTSE 250 was up .4% at 20,314.41 in afternoon trade on Monday.
Silver and gold miner Hochschild Mining was the star performer on the index as silver charges surged, qualified by Reddit retail traders, when iron ore miner Ferrexpo was also on the increase.
On the downside, searching centre proprietors have been less than the cosh as traders mulled the impression of lockdown, with Hammerson, Capital & Counties and Shaftesbury all weaker.
Vacation business TUI was also in the red amid even further travel limits, following France shut its borders to most non-EU travel, and Portugal banned international journey.
