Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert responds to claims of Capitol excursions

DENVER (KDVR) — Three days just after the Speaker of the Residence announced an investigation into lawmaker involvement in the insurrection, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is experiencing new allegations.

Tennessee Congressman Steve Cohen stated in an interview Monday morning:

“We saw Congresswoman Boebert getting a team of people for a tour someday following the 3rd and right before the 6th.”

Boebert responded late Monday afternoon, stating: “Representative Cohen’s claim that he observed me give a reconnaissance tour with men and women not on the group is 100% wrong. I have in no way specified any tours of the U.S. Capitol in the 117th Congress to anyone apart from household users in city for my swearing in. As Members of Congress, we have a responsibility to elevate the discourse and unify all through situations of disaster. Regrettably, Rep. Cohen alternatively selected to go on CNN currently to repeat irresponsible lies in buy to elevate his individual political relevance and to additional fuel the division of our nation.”

In a letter to associates of Congress acquired by FOX31, the Sergeant at Arms particularly stated the Capitol and Capitol Conference Centre continue to be closed to all tours, which include member-led and personnel-led excursions.
