Chinese Bullet Train that is faster than an aircraft travels at 600kph

Chinese Bullet Train that is faster than an aircraft travels at 600kph

– China has pushed the boundary in railway transport after it created a levitation train which can cover long distances in relatively short durations

– The speed of the new train’s prototype beats the current Beijing rail train which travels at a rapid speed of 350km in one hour

– If everything goes according to plan, the Chinese government is working on making the train service available by the second half of 2021

China has unveiled a new technology in rail transportation with its prototype high-speed magnetic levitation bullet train.

According to DesignBoom, the train can travel at high speeds of 600km per hour and was developed by China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC).

The train is set to start serving the public in mid 2021.

Magnetic levitation is a type of technology in a train transport system where magnetic forces are deployed to make trains travel efficiently at high speeds.

With the use of two magnetic forces, the train is pushed forward at a pace that makes it ‘float’ without friction.

The lack of friction between the train and rail tracks boosts the speed.

It should be noted that the popular Beijing-Shanghai rail has a speed of 350km per hour which makes the new prototype the fastest in the country.

The CRRC’s deputy chief engineer, Ding Sansan, said the train can travel from Beijing to Shanghai in about 3.5 hours, beating an aicraft’s speed of 4.5 hours over the same distance.

The new train will be going through rigorous tests before it launches. A centre and a production building are currently being set up as the new service is expected to begin soon.
