Buncombe County kindergarten tours will be virtual

There are some changes to Buncombe County’s kindergarten tours this year. School officials said, because of COVID-19, the tours are going to be virtual. Parents must sign up online ahead of time for a tour.

Estes Elementary School principal Dr. Paula Pinkerton said the meetings will involve many staff members, including PE, music, STEM and dual language teachers.

“We need those parents to see our culture and what it’s like, that it is a family-friendly culture. We want parents to know what’s going on in the school. And we want them to feel connected, that we are going to take good care of their children when they come to Buncombe County Schools,” Pinkerton said.
