Acting Secretary of Protection Christopher C. Miller travelled to Afghanistan on Tuesday, December 22. Due to safety problems encompassing this vacation, it was not declared in progress.
While in Afghanistan, the Performing Secretary satisfied with the President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani at the Presidential Palace in Kabul to focus on the ongoing U.S. army support to the Afghanistan Nationwide Defense and Protection Forces amidst a historic option to realize peace in the state.
Acting Secretary Miller also fulfilled with Typical Scott Miller, Commander Resolute Assistance Mission (RS) and US Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) to acquire his assessment of the over-all protection problem to include the present counterterrorism and Prepare, Recommend and Assist missions, the stage of Taliban violence and the ongoing drawdown of U.S. forces.
Also, Acting Secretary Miller appreciated a number of options to satisfy with company members at Put together Security Changeover Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A), RS headquarters and at outlying spots wherever he was able to thank them and admit their sacrifice of becoming absent from their Households for the duration of a challenging holiday break year.
