1 dead in tour bus crash headed to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas

At least one person was killed in a tour bus crash headed to the Grand Canyon from the City of Las Vegas Friday afternoon.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office reported that initial reports came at approximately 12:21 p.m. of a bus that had rolled over at milepost 5 at Diamond Bar Road.
Investigators said the bus was being managed by a Las Vegas-based company and was carrying 48 passengers at the time of the crash.

One person was killed as a result of the incident, with one being flown to Las Vegas due to critical injuries, according to a sheriff’s office spokesperson.
Another person who was critically injured was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
Seven were transported with moderate injuries and 33 were taken with minor injuries, according to a press release issued late Friday afternoon.
